The new middleweight adventure motorcycle brings together a 581cc twin-cylinder engine, long-travel KYB suspension and practical road-to-trail capability.
CAPRIVA DEL FRIULI, Italy – KOVE presented the new 625X PRO to Italian motorcycle media during a dedicated press event held at Castello di Spessa from July 13 to 15.
Following a technical product briefing, journalists tested the motorcycle on a 60-kilometre route through the hills of Friuli, including approximately 10 kilometres of dirt roads. The route combined winding asphalt, changes in elevation and unpaved sections, giving riders an early opportunity to experience the 625X PRO ahead of its commercial arrival in Italy.
Developed as an all-round middleweight adventure motorcycle, the 625X PRO is designed to handle daily riding, long-distance touring and routes beyond the pavement. Its upright riding position supports comfort on longer journeys while allowing riders to move naturally into a standing position on rougher surfaces.
Power comes from a 581cc water-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 46kW at 8,500rpm and 56.5N·m at 6,250rpm. A 270-degree crankshaft configuration provides strong low-speed response and smooth, linear power delivery, making the engine easy to manage in traffic, on open roads and across loose surfaces.
The chassis is equipped with a fully adjustable 43mm KYB front fork offering 180mm of travel, together with a KYB rear suspension system providing 230mm of travel. Ground clearance of 205mm, tubeless spoked wheels and 19-inch front and 17-inch rear Pirelli tyres give the 625X PRO the clearance and wheel setup required for gravel roads and uneven tracks while maintaining stability on asphalt.
Touring-focused features include effective wind protection, dual-channel ABS and a 6.75-inch adjustable TFT display with smartphone screen projection. The riding position, suspension setup and accessible power delivery have been developed to keep the motorcycle comfortable over distance without taking away the control required once the road turns to dirt.
The Friuli media event placed the 625X PRO directly into the mixed conditions it was created to handle. From the roads surrounding Castello di Spessa to the event’s dedicated off-road sections, the programme allowed the motorcycle’s engine, chassis and everyday usability to take centre stage.
