From March 28 to 30, 2025, the opening round of the WSBK World Supersport 300 (WorldSSP300) Championship took place at the Portimão Circuit in Portugal. KOVE’s satellite team, Team #109 Retro Traffic KOVE, delivered a spectacular performance, with rider Benat Fernandez (#7) piloting the fully self-developed KOVE 350RR to an incredible victory in Race 2. This marks KOVE’s second-ever victory on the global WSBK stage, reaffirming the strength of our independently developed machine.

A Dominant Start – From Pole to Victory

In the highly competitive WorldSSP300 category, KOVE 350RR once again demonstrated its exceptional performance. From qualifying to the final race, Team #109 and Fernandez showcased their strength with an outstanding race weekend:

March 28 | Superpole Qualifying – Fernandez secured pole position with an impressive 1'55.238 lap time, proving KOVE 350RR’s speed and precision.

March 29 | Race 1 – A solid performance saw Fernandez finish P4, .003 narrowly missing the podium but setting the stage for a strong comeback.

March 30 | Race 2 – In a thrilling 11-lap battle, Fernandez emerged victorious, crossing the finish line first to claim the 2025 season’s first WorldSSP300 victory!

    This victory is not only Fernandez’s first career win in WorldSSP300, but also KOVE’s second WSBK victory overall. It cements KOVE 350RR’s position as a top contender in global production-based racing.

A Champion’s Engine – Competing with the Best

At the heart of this triumph is the KOVE 350RR, powered by our self-developed 344cc engine. In 2024, this engine secured KOVE’s first-ever WSBK win in Jerez. Now, facing formidable competition from Kawasaki Ninja 400, Yamaha R3, and KTM RC 390, the KOVE 350RR has once again risen to the challenge and emerged victorious.
